Notes'Sound poems that are gentle and thoughtful" - Guitar Nine Records 'Musical artistry that is exceptional..." - Selene River Press While first attracted to painting and drawing for expression, Jerry Palmer tuned in to music as a teenager in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He learned guitar, keyboards and flute and started playing in a succession of bands. When he was twenty-three Palmer recorded his debut album Night Song with six time Grammy winner Greg Nelson and three time Grammy winner Al Perkins. Then while visiting northern Colorado for a wedding he heard the instrumental music of guitarist Alex de Grassi in a local record shop. Palmer took the discovery of de Grassi's music as a new life direction, moving soon after to Fort Collins. Palmer recorded his first instrumental album Children Forever with Russ Hopkins of Kiva Records in 1987. Palmer and Hopkins teamed up again for Blue Guitar and Nevada Winds, which landed him a feature spot in some surprising places- on television as well as on supermarket music loops. It also found him on stage with steel string guitar legend Michael Hedges. Palmer's next release was Soul Gardener, which features musical contributions from Steve Amedee of the subdudes. Palmer released Moon Dreaming with Russ Hopkins in November of 2007, featuring twenty years of musical collaboration, including works they created together for theater and film. Deep Blue Sky is Palmer's fith solo release. It flows from delicate guitar and cello duets into moving multi-instrumental rhythms and ends with the incredibly beautiful love song 'I'll Remember.'
