Product Information

Players raise a virtual puppy to become a loving, hard-working adult in Discovery Kids: Puppy Playtime. The overall goal of the game is to nurture and train the puppy, helping it to grow up to be healthy and take on the role of a rescue dog. Players can choose from three breeds: Dalmatian, German shepherd, and Labrador retriever. Some mini-games are played from the perspective of the trainer, using the touch screen to interact with the animal, as in the Nintendogs line of puppy simulations. In 30 missions though 3D environments, the player and puppy explore new places and practice skills that will be needed when the grown-up dog goes to work for the fire department, the police force, or the local lifeguards. Based on the basic cable channel's programming, Puppy Playtime is part of 505 Games' Discovery Kids alliterative line of pet simulations for Nintendo DS, along with Dolphin Discovery, Kitten Corner, and Pony Paradise.
