Inspired by a true story, John Gatins's heart-warming film stars Kurt Russell as Ben Crane, a racehorse trainer down on his luck, who loses his job when he refuses to put down a horse with a broken leg. Taking the filly, Sonador, as part of his pay-off, he plans to nurse her back to health for breeding. But his daughter Cale has other plans; to train Sonador to race in the Kentucky Breeders' Cup.
