NotesDespite all five members of the band being under 23, Protest the Hero are showing a lot of metal veterans how to write well-crafted songs while shredding their instruments. FORTRESS is tighter, more concise, and overall a heavier album, but the classic riffage and insane musicianship are still very much in tact. The album also brings vocalist Rody Walker to the forefront and showcases his incredible range. Look for FORTRESS to elevate Protest the Hero into the upper echelon of heavy music.
