Sent once more to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, to cover the annual Groundhog Day festival, television weatherman Phil Connors finds himself stuck in time, endlessly repeating February 2nd. Trying to make the best of his absurd situation, Phil becomes both master and victim of his peculiar predicament. With no tomorrow to worry about and plenty of time on his hands, Phil gets to explore some of his favourite fantasies, becomes an expert at all things trivial and pointless, gets lucky with the local girls and continually strikes out with the real love of his life.
