Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr voice the leads in Paul Bolger and Yvette Kaplan's animation, which provides a somewhat different take on Cinderella, with nods to other much-loved fairy tales. The wizard with responsibility for ensuring the happy endings of fairy tales, goes on a golfing holiday to Scotland, leaving his bumbling assistants in charge. When wicked stepmother Frieda discovers the imminent happy ending to her loathed stepdaughter Ella's story, she implements a takeover of Fairy Tale Land. Ella sets off in search of the handsome Prince Humperdink who she believes will save the day. But salvation may be closer at hand, in the form of Ella's best friend, a humble pot-washer called Rick. Among the familiar characters encountered on the way are the seven dwarves and Rumplestiltskin, as well as a host of sinister wolves, witches and ogres.
