Once again London is stalked by a nighttime serial killer on the loose who calls himself the White Angel. Ellen Carter is an award winning crime writer who falls upon hard times after her husband mysteriously disappears and she becomes the prime suspect. When her financial situation worsens she takes in boarders, one of whom is a mysterious man named Leslie Steckler. While snooping around Carter's house, he learns Carter's secret, reveals his secret identity as the WHITE ANGEL and blackmails her into writing his life story -- the life story of a serial killer. Thus the film turns into a character study of two people with hidden lives and dark secrets. As the plot thickens, Carter realizes that Steckler is a very dangerous man and must be stopped.
