NotesA Human Rights Revenge Film: Liz Estrada is one of the few who escaped the continuing, non-fictional world war on women. After burning down the sugar cane warehouse, near Juarez, Mexico, where she is held by several men, a farmgirl gives her a religious pendant from the fire, which burns into Liz's hand and allows her to greatly exagerate the good or evil within a person by touching their face. (with healing or violent results) After crossing the border, she sets her sights on the United Nations to pressure those in power, like her namesake from Greek theater, Lysystrata. She focuses on rescuing a single Sudanese girl, held and attacked during the civil war, while seeking direct methods in case the U.N fails to protect civilians again. She meets Pito, a banker in NYC, and survivor of the Serbian mass rape camps in 1992 Foca, Bosnia. Joined by a Mexican national who turns out to be an ally, they leave the U.N after a short seige, and form the 'Book Club', who stops off in Serbia to gain closure with Pito's freed tormentor, then proceed to Darfur, in Sudan,to relocate a victim to NYC to payback Liz' own freedom. Juarez, Bosnia and the Sudan pinpoint the story, as recent, real-life hotspots of the most organized crimes directed against women, the only war that can be prevented with an attitude, and not military investment. The 2-CD collection is performed by REV: Al Kryszak (gtrs, keys + vocals), Rob Mazurkiewicz (Bass - Vocals) and Mike Brydalski (drums). Strings performed by Miranda Scoma. Vocal chorus: Mary Kate Maloy and Joyce Kryszak.
