NotesWith a sound born on the back roads of Southeast Arkansas, Trey Hawkins Band is the definition of up and coming. After forming in the small town of Hamburg around 2009, Trey and the rest of THB quickly established themselves as the band to watch. Singer/songwriter, guitarist and founder of the band, Trey Hawkins, has been drawing crowds and entertaining audiences for years with real lyrics about breakups, breakdowns, love, pain, growing up and being from the South. With the addition of guitarists, Aaron Murphy and Andrew Breedlove, drummer Jonathan Breedlove, and bassist Mark Bolin, the sound of the South prevails. After the release of the first albums "Southern Son", and "No Lines, No Limits, No Gimmicks", followed by the third album, "Trey Hawkins Band Live", the five have blazed a trail across the Ark-La-Miss and branched out into Texas, performing at SXSW 2013 in Austin, and being voted into the top 10 at the Live at Billy Bob's Texas Recording Contest 2012. The band has snagged other titles such as The Songwriters' contest wildcard winner 2012 and Arkansas Times Showcase semi-finalists 2013. They have performed at numerous music festivals, including Arkansas' Riverfest and the CMA Music Fest 2012 in Nashville. Their most recent accomplishment was winning the Thunder on the Mountain Throwdown in Little Rock, securing a spot at the inaugural Thunder on the Mountain country music festival June 2013 in Ozark, Arkansas. Multiple appearances on KATV's Good Morning Arkansas and numerous radio interviews have also awakened thousands to the THB sound. Notable appearances include opening for artists such as Randy Rogers Band, Wade Bowen, The Kentucky Headhunters, Stoney Larue, Eli Young Band, Robert Earl Keen, Jack Ingram, Steve Azar, Paul Thorn, Charlie Daniels Band, David Nail, and Pat Green, proving them to be a band ready for the big stages. Each member of Trey Hawkins Band adds his own flavor to the music: from grassroots country, to heart wrenching blues, southern flavored rock, emotionally honest soul with a taste of funk and jam band influences. The collaboration of mixed genres fuels the originality, as each song has a unique mix of familiar yet all new sounds. Their unmatched style of singing and prodigal instrumental talent is bound with fresh, addictive melodies, creating incendiary live performances.
