Notes2009 Na Hoku Hanohano Finalist for Compilation Album of the Year! This is a compilation CD, created by No Hum Yet as a fund-raiser for 'Iolani School, Honolulu, Hawaii. Since it's inception, professional entertainment has been an integral part of the Iolani School Fair. Every year, we host numerous appearances by Na Hoku Hanahano Award-winning artists. Our goal is to provide a comfortable environment that allows performers to focus on their art. All of the tracks in this compilation were carefully selected after reviewing hours of live reference recordings. We want to thank all of the artists, who generously agreed to donate their performances to this project. One-hundred-percent of the net income (gross sales less costs of mechanical licensing, mastering, manufacturing and shipping) benefits the Iolani School Fair. ----------------------------------------------------------- 'Our take: An ambitious effort worthy of support - a memory-maker, if you caught one of the acts at the fair and a musical quiltwork for everyone else who might be fans.' Wayne Harada Review - Honolulu Advertiser: March 21, 2008 'One of the gems in terms of rarity is 'Basia Medley' by Azure McCall and Tennyson Stephens. They used to be a major force on the Honolulu jazz scene; having something by them here is a coup indeed.' John Berger - Honolulu Star-Bulletin: March 28, 2008.
