It tells how her life changes when she meets John Smith, one of a party of sailors which has come to the New World searching for gold. The powerful and moving story of a Native American princess and her ill-fated love for an English sea captain, Pocahontas is a stunning piece of state of the art animation. Pocahontas teaches him the true value of life, and how every rock tree and creature has a living spirit. She saves him from execution by her people, and he in turn saves Powahatan but is wounded. Eventually they are forced to part, but their spirits remain entwined.
