A prison engineer, Michael gets himself arrested and locked up in the same prison where his brother sits on death row, intending to use his intimate knowledge of the Fox River State Penitentiary to help them both escape. The second series of PRISON BREAK begins hours after Michael, Lincoln, and a number of other inmates have made good their escape. The brothers search for money that Michael had buried prior to his incarceration and attempt to bring down the political conspiracy that framed Lincoln, all the while evading the authorities hot on their trail.
