Enoch Light produced a series of best- selling percussion albums in the 1960s of which "Provocative Percussion" was one. Light experimented with the then recently available stereo effects and his pioneering efforts of recording techniques resulted in the "ping- pong" sound which became a hit with hi-fi enthusiasts worldwide.
