NotesRabbit & Rogue is the first ballet score written by Academy Award-nominated composer Danny Elfman. Having composed music for over sixty films, Elfman is best known for his scores for the majority of Tim Burton's movies including Batman, Batman Returns, Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice. Elfman is also known for his television work, composing the theme songs for The Simpsons and Desperate Housewives (for which he won an Emmy Award), and as the leader of the rock band Oingo Boingo. Rabbit & Rogue is the fifteenth commission of choreographer Twyla Tharp for American Ballet Theater. The ballet features a mischievous pair of principal men in a disconnected visual world. They encounter two couples and their supporting ensembles - one tumultuous, one harmonious. Rabbit & Rogue was given it's World Premiere at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York in June 2008.
