Magazine retained Devoto's pointed, poetic lyrics and aggressive attitude, but the densely textured music had affinities with British progressive rock (although Magazine's songs were considerably shorter). Two of their albums, their 1978 debut REAL LIFE and their second, SECONDHAND DAYLIGHT from 1979, are presented on one CD. U.K. release.
