Abrahamyan has her upcoming debut at the Met Opera as the title role in Carmen, and has appeared with Cecilia Bartoli in Alcina. The new album features a duet with Bartoli (track 2) along with an Armenian piece (featuring a duduk player) as a nod to Varduhi's heritage.
