Steven Spielberg's WWII blockbuster stars Tom Hanks as Capt John H Miller, leader of a platoon of D-Day soldiers ordered to find and rescue Private Ryan, part of the advance forces who is now the sole surviving sibling of a family of four brothers. The plan, a propaganda exercise propagated by Army chief George C Marshall, sees them reluctantly give up on their mission to defeat Germans and set out on their quest (although not without diversions along the way). But when they eventually find Ryan, the moral question posed by Spielberg is - what do they do next?
