Product Information
Rozz Williams is something of a poster child for gothic rock--though he himself eschewed that term--and since his suicide in 1998, the perennially death-obsessed rocker has become something of a martyr as well. Having founded the seminal band Christian Death at the age of 16, he is a noted influence of Marilyn Manson and Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), and virtually defined the sound of west-coast vampire rock in the '80s. After leaving Christian Death in 1982 he embarked upon a solo career, joining up with future wife Eva O. (formerly of the Superheroines) to form the Shadow Project. Drawing upon the influences of glam, punk, and gothic rock, Shadow Project was a prolific force in the underground, and fully showcased the haunting, disturbing power of Williams's vocals. The talents of this unique, influential artist are on full display here in this collection of live concerts and spoken-word performances, as well as insightful interviews with the band.Product Identifiers
