Science fiction thriller in which a scientist battles to convince the authorities of an imminent alien attack. Zane Zaminski is a radio astronomer who believes he has heard an extra-terrestrial signal, but whose discovery is deemed worthless by his boss. Then his research division is closed down due to government cutbacks and he is given the sack.
