Bounty hunter John "The Hangman" Ruth (Kurt Russell) and his dangerous prisoner Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh) encounter a treacherous blizzard en route to her sentencing in Wyoming. They meet a fellow bounty hunter, Major Marquis Warren (Samuel L. Jackson) and his partner Chris Mannix (Walton Goggins) and chart a course for a safe stagecoach house to wait out the storm. There, they meet four other travelling strangers (Tim Roth, Demian Bichir, Machael Madsen, and Bruce Dern) who all must share the stuffy confines until the end of the blizzard. Emotions boil over as each man has their own agenda in this inventive Western from auteur Quentin Tarantino set in the aftermath of the American Civil War.
