From the team that bought Airplane to the screen comes the original Naked Gun (which spawned two sequels), with Leslie Nielsen as Lt Frank Drebin. Drebin foils a plot by arch-criminal Victor Ludwig to assassinate our own dear Queen at a Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game. He's helped by Ludwig's assistant Jane Spencer who has no idea of the dastardly plan and soon agrees to help Drebin, as well as falling in love with him. The plot is paper-thin but the laughs come hot on the heels of each other, made all the funnier by the straight playing of all the leads. Cameo appearances include the late John Houseman and baseball legend Reggie Jackson.
