Product Information
Born in 1911, Terence Rattigan quickly attained the stature of one of the most sought-after playwrights in all of England. He achieved his first major success at the age of 25, when his comedy French Without Tears (1936) became a smashing success on the London stage; a follow-up effort, After the Dance, found Rattigan shifting gears to assume a more dramatic tone, in its exploration of the 1920s London aristocracy. Thus began a 41-year career that continued until Rattigan's death in 1977, and brought noteworthy roles to such legends as Sean Connery, Michael Gambon, Colin Firth and Judi Dench. This collection features early stage productions of some of Rattigan's most acclaimed works, including Separate Tables, THE WINSLOW BOY, ADVENTURE STORY, THE DEEP BLUE SEA and more.Product Identifiers
