(1995) Steven Seagal returns as former Navy SEAL Casey Ryback in Geoff Murphy's action thriller. Ryback is taking a train holiday from Denver to Los Angeles with his recently orphaned teenage niece (Katherine Heigl) when their break is rudely interrupted by a megalomaniac terrorist. The baddie in question is Travis Dane (Eric Bogosian), who has gained control of the terrifyingly potent, space-based super weapon that he helped design. After being sacked by the US government, he's thrown his lot in with a shady Middle Eastern organisation that's out to destroy the eastern seaboard of the United States. Dane's team of merciless thugs take control of the train, from where the destructive satellite can be operated without detection, as long as the locomotive doesn't stop. But they're not counting on the wily ex-serviceman, nor his resolve to keep his niece safe from harm.
