The rock and roll icon has played on four Bob Dylan albums, the majority of Stevie NIcks albums, three Don Henley albums, and albums with Chris Stapleton, Linda Ronstadt, Joe Cocker, Rob Thomas, Mary J. Blige, Tracy Chapman, Randy Newman and more. Vagabonds, Virgins & Misfits is the third studio album with his solo project the Dirty Knobs, following 2020's Wreckless Abandon and 2022's External Combustion. The 2024 release features guest appearances by Lucinda Williams, Graham Nash, Chris Stapleton and fellow lifelong Heartbreaker, keyboardist Benmont Tench.
