NotesThis much-loved singer and comedian from South Wales has enjoyed success for over 30 years. Material for this 2 CD Very Best of is pulled from his albums, including the one that started it all in the early 70s, Live at Torchy, which went Gold, We All Had Doctors' Papers, which reached #1 in the album charts, the first comedy album to do so, 1976's the Incredible Plan and 1978's I Know 'Cos I Was There (both of which went Gold). a hugely successful BBC TV series followed and he continued to enjoy a varied career on stage and screen throughout the '80s and '90s. 1999's An Evening with Max Boyce introduced him to a younger audience, with ratings that broke BBC Wales viewing records. A unique talent, Max remains much loved in Wales and elsewhere for his unique humor and storytelling. EMI. 2005.
