A famous actor discovers that the hotel he has been ferried to is not a normal space; for this hotel is the last resting place for famous dead people, including the likes of Albert Einstein and Ernest Hemmingway. He is now among them, one of the ghosts kept alive by their fame. However, he quickly learns that as the public's interesting the dead celebrity fades, the resident is moved onto smaller and smaller rooms, until finally they are forgotten and banished from the halls forever.
