Measuring your shop email marketing success
To see how effective your email marketing is at attracting buyers to your shop, take a look at your email statistics in My eBay.
To see your statistics:
Move your cursor over the Account tab until you see the drop-down menu.
Select "Marketing Tools."
Click the "Email Marketing" link on the left.
Your 10 most recent email messages can be found on the "Email Marketing" page. If you've sent email in the past, you can see the number of recipients, the number of recipients who opened the email, the date it was sent, the status, and any associated charges.
Viewing detailed reports
To view a detailed report for each email, click the email subject.
Here's a small glossary for the statistics in the report:
Recipients: The total number of unique recipients to whom the email was sent.
Note: This number may be slightly higher than the original number of recipients you chose if more subscribers added themselves to your mailing lists between the times in which the email was created and sent. In all cases, however, the amount billed will always be the amount originally shown to you on the Preview Email page.
Charge: The total amount that was charged to you for sending this email.
Emails opened: The total number of unique recipients who opened and viewed the email.
Note: This number may be slightly low because a small number of users read their email in text-only email programs, from which we can't measure open rates.
Bids: The total number of bids that resulted from recipients clicking an item in the email and bidding on an item from that seller on the same computer within 24 hours.
Buy It Now purchases: The total number of "Buy It Now" purchases that resulted from recipients clicking an item in the email and buying an item from that seller on the same computer within 24 hours.
Item clicks: The number of times that recipients clicked on item links in the email and went to your item pages on eBay. If one recipient clicked 5 items in the email, it would register as 5 item clicks in this report.
Shop clicks: The number of times that recipients clicked links in the email and went to your Shop pages, including the Shop home page, categories, custom pages, search results, and the profile page.
Date sent: The date that the email was delivered to subscribers.
Status: The status of the email, which can be "Draft," "Sending," "Sent," and "Failed." The statistics described above will be displayed only if the email status is "Sent."
Mailing lists: The mailing lists you selected as recipients for this email.
Number of purchases: If you specified a range of purchases required for a subscriber to receive this email, that range would appear here.
Length of subscription: If you specified a subscription length range required for a subscriber to receive this email, that range would appear here.
Previous activity: If you specified any previous activity constraints, those constraints would appear here.
