Resolving Disputes

Sometimes problems can happen with your transactions, so communicating with the person you are trading with is an important part of resolving disputes. If you've got a problem, there are a variety of processes than can help you resolve it.

eBay Resolution Centre

eBay’s Resolution Centre is an online communication tool that can help you track, manage, resolve, or close any existing disputes. All information posted in this tool will be accessible anytime by you, the seller or buyer, and eBay Customer Support. Learn more about reporting and tracking disputes.

You can report the following problems:

  • Item not received or significantly not as described process – (For buyers) Use this process if you paid for an item but didn't receive it. You can also use this process if you paid for and received an item, but it was significantly different from the item description.

  • Unpaid Item – (For sellers) Use this process as a seller if a buyer bought an item but has not paid for it.
