I had to reduce my backing to about 10 yards so I could fit my 100ft of integrated spey line. It is a Heavy line at a 6/7 weight but a normal 9weight forward would've probably fit fine. Would still buy another one. Very satisfied with my purchase. Functions perfectly and well crafted.
