    I got it. The description did not mention the soda that was spilled on it. The screen had a sugary residue from a carbonated drink that made the screen stick the the palmrest. The screen flashes initially at boot, but the system quickly shuts down from a short in the motherboard. Your description fell short of what it was, however, it was listed for parts or repair.
