    The owners manual is for a 2008, though there are similarities I have found differences in what the manual shows and what is actually in the vehicle.

    The manual is for a 2009 as stated. Vehicles come out about mid 2008 for the 2009 model year. The date on the back is the year the book was printed and not the model year of the vehicle. The differences you are seeing is for different trim levels. If you have a base model there is still information on the LX or EX models in the book so yes there are differences but the book is for all 2009 Sportage models, not just your particular one.
