About us

Our family run business in Westcliff on Sea, Essex, is an Aladdin's Cave full of affordable, good quality fabrics and haberdashery.

We carry a huge stock of fabrics including 100% Cottons, Dress fabrics, Woollens, Fleece, Felt, Fur fabrics, Calico, Muslin, PVC, Corduroy, Upholstery - the list goes on! Our shop is a fabric lovers dream. Our Sewing School run from our 292 London Road premises has taught 100's of people of all ages to sew and create some wonderful crafts.

We are proud to say that having been established nearly 50 years ago by our wonderful Dad, Len Kaye in York Road Market in Southend on Sea, we are still bringing you beautiful fabrics together with good old fashioned customer service.

    Fabric shrunk by a considerable amount when washed but no mention made of this in the product details. Seller blamed their supplier - I contacted them again to say I felt that some sort of rebate should have been offered as I wasn’t able to use the pattern I’d specially bought but they didn’t bother to respond. Fabric nice - looks like pure linen but creases drop out as soon as hung up. Would not use seller again though or recommend them) because of poor/uncaring service.
