    Advertised as New Old Stock, but the motherboard failed on first power-up. VRM near the Slot 1 socket burned immediately despite using a supported CPU, SDRAM, and PSU. Not actually in usable condition. Very disappointed.

    We're sorry to hear about this. Since the motherboard is New Old Stock, it obviously hasn't been tested and was in its original factory condition. Unfortunately, since the hardware is over 25 years old, similar problems can occur, and it's often necessary to check the main components before applying power.
