About us

My name is Megan Oates and I'm an "early" retired teacher after 22 years. I'm a Florida native born in Miami and now living in a rural area north of Tampa Bay. I loved teaching, but through the years, it became more stressful and less fun. I have always enjoyed yard sales, thrift stores, and antiquing. My husband and I have spent our years together decorating our home with unique and special treasures either from our family or from our thrifting adventures. We look at this as a hobby of sorts for now, but when he retires, he too wants to start making this "hobby" more of a full time venture. We love seeing others find that special item that brings back a memory, or that is a treasure they've been trying to find with little luck.
