Before buying, I checked the Janka hardness and was surprised at how hard (relatively) that Sapele is. Janka is 1439, which isn't far from Hard Maple at 1450, so it should be hard enough as a fingerboard - a really beautiful fingerboard. As always with Shabby Chic Guitars, it was packed up nicely and sent quickly.
