    I own a vinyl board, but it has never laid flat. It was playable, but just wouldn't lay flat. So I tried this board which is just as portables as the vinyl pad, but has a mousepad like backing. This board lays flat. It's a bit more expensive and weighs just a tad more, but I'm very satisfied.
