  This is one big chunk of cast iron with a powerful motor and an effective cutter on the inlet. Guarding is nil, so it’s important to keep the wire away from the cutter and fingers too. It has a foreign three pin plug and an adapter to UK 13 amp plug, but no fuse as far as I could see. However, it works and it pumps just about anything mobile. I have been pumping water and sludge out of a large garden pond, which has not been touched for over 20 years. This pump exceeded all my expectations.
