Good VPN router
8 of 8 found this helpful The Cisco 1721 router is an excellent, cheap alternative to more expensive Cisco routers if you only need a VPN endpoint or a simple, secure and robust firewall. It can be upgraded to a very fast IPSEC VPN router for less than $100 for ram and the VPN module. Dont pay over $300 for the 1721 itself and no more than $100 for the ram and VPN module.
Configuring the 1721 is the same as most other cisco routers using IOS as their is no web gui which may be a detractor to some but I find this method quicker.
