The Very Best Of The Four Pennies
I like the sixties music anyway but I am especially pleased to get a cd of this group. I had the pleasure of living quite close to two of the FOUR PENNIES they helped me appreciate music in all its forms.I was privileged to watch them play live at a few "Gigs" in my area.There are other cd's by them out there! A much under appreciated group.Lionel Morton wrote the play away theme and was married to Julia Foster(Pears Soap)an actress who starred in quite a few 60's films,look out for a really nice tune sung by him called PEACE STAR ,see it on YOUtube.Mike Wilshaw also of the pennies is on the Jazz scene in Bristol.Not much else to say only if you like 60's music give them a listen. Takes you right back to the sixties.
