The Perfect Writer's Handbook

I bought this book for my high schooler after reading about it online. It is a great how-to book and covers all kinds of writing, from personal to academic. It gives wonderful examples of the writing process and different forms of writing. The section on citations has been very handy. It also covers grammar, speech skills, multimedia presentations, improving classroom skills, and how to use the library. At the back is a small student almanac with sections on math, science, geography, and history (including the Constitution and list of presidents). This book has quickly become our favorite reference.
