This light is very bright 3000 color range, I also bought a different brand and that one was not as bright and has blueish 4000 in color. I like this one because it will do a USB charge or i can put the battery in my charger from the other type light... Well worth the price not sure where they get the camping lantern from but the wide angle does light up a large area not sure a lantern style though but could be used as
