Works great on already cold drinks. Be careful not to flip the switch to the heat, because that function works great.
I drive a lot for work. All day, making deliveries. Great little fridge will hold 4 bottles of water if you lay them down. Pre-chilling your drinks is definitely recommended, as it will take all day to cool down hot drinks while the unit is sitting in a hot vehicle. I have not left the unit plugged in overnight yet, because I do not want a dead battery in the morning, but I do leave it running with the vehicle turned off while at stops throughout the day, and have not experienced a hard start on the vehicle yet. Very quiet unit, and the price was great. It has a magnetic catch on the lid to keep it closed. If you are tired of drinking hot beverages, this little fridge is for you.

It’s an orange light that brightens and dims. Does not flicker. I am not sure it will work for what I have planned, but at least I was able to get them cheaper than the asking price.
