There's a reason why you see more Kindles than Kobos.
I bought this because it was cheap from Asda at the time. My wife owns a Kindle, and I wanted to buy the under-dog to see if it was any better. Well, it's not. The interface is slower, page-turns are slower, battery life is abysmal (heaven help you if you leave it alone for a month and expect to come back to it alive ... something you can do with a Kindle). Managing your library on the device is painful, due to the slow speeds of the device's screen and processor. If you want a basic e-reader and have never used a Kindle before, have no appreciation of decent system design (system as in 'a way to do things' rather than 'computer systems') then you'll be okay with one of these. Needless to say, as soon as I found someone who wanted to buy one, I offered to sell him mine so I could go out and buy a Kindle instead.
