I have an older canon 20mm 2.8 EF lens and the bayonet mount on the original shade was worn out from constant use. This hood is exactly the same grade as the original canon shade. The plastic has the same density and finish, it fits snugly and looks 100% factory fresh. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
