70's vibe with some nice bluesy riffs
Some buyers may be looking for a straight up blues album from Gary but this is not it. Some songs have a 70's vibe and even a little Prince sound especially in the great track #9 "Pearl Cadillac" which in my opinion is the best song on the album. The title track "This Land" is a nice little bluesy joint. It has a few tracks such as #15 "Dirty Dishes Blues" that has a classic blues feel. I enjoy the refreshing music and his killer voice. He covers a vast array of sounds on this album.

Blue October - my favorite band!
This cd is a must have for any hardcore Blue October fan and is becoming quite scarce to find. This early release allows you to see where they came from and where their music is now going with previous versions of songs such as "Blue Sunshine", "Breakfast after Ten" and one of my favorites "For My Brother". Blue October has the full package when it comes to bands and I surely look forward to every upcoming release and anytime they visit my hometown!
