Pump Up The Volume (DVD 2005)
A little bit more than your average teen movie, evident by the brilliant, eclectic soundtrack. Bought it as a gift for my gf, and she loved it "... favourite film!". Shame Slater's career never really took off. All of a sudden, he's a self-confessed Anglophile. Hmmm, Hollywood not knocking now that the 'young' Jack Nicholson impression has gone? At least this film is a testament to when he was a bit edgy, and an alternative to the Brat Pack. Pirate radio? US 80's style? Let's redo it in London, in a grime stylee!
