Does not charge an alkaline rechargable AA/AAA Back to 1.5. Volts more like 1.3 volts making it somewhat useless.l used several different testers.

The charger puts 1.6V on the battery during charging, if the battery drops after removing it's a weak battery - no charger will fix that!

Good value for the price, does spin nicely if placed properly.
Despite the other reviews, this does spin slowly in moderate breezes. The key is to position the pole so the breeze is hitting along the edges of the spinners, not directly into the face. More expensive models have a bearing on the top of the pole which allow the spinners to pivot into the breeze, but for this price I'm pretty happy with the limited design. All-metal construction seems sturdy and allows for some adjustment of the blades/fins - at least nothing broke as I evened them out. A shot of WD-40 into the bearings makes a big difference and hopefully will keep them from rusting. Only question is why the green painted blades come to rest at the bottom when it stops - is the green paint heavier than the other colors?
