Hard foam
The first 6" on each side are very hard. This is supposed to be constructed of high density foam, but I've never seen foam as hard as that. I don't recommend this item.

Nice soft scent
Soft scent. The bottle was a little damp and the lid was slightly crooked, and I'm sure it was due to the cold weather.
