If dimensions were important to you, a simple query would have sufficed. The item is certainly not “tat” and is definitely “vintage British” as it was bought by my father some 60 odd years ago from a local stamp shop. The lens is not surrounded by “tin” but non-stainless steel. Sorry to hear you are disappointed, but glad that it made a child happy!
