    Great cd of this classic Northern comic. A true legend. Some great sketches with Roy Barraclough too. Highly recommended.

    "Coronation Street" DVD 1976.
    This is an excellant dvd from "Corrie's" golden period. 8 episodes from 1976, featuring such characters as Len Fairclough, Ena Sharples, Stan and Hilda Ogden and Annie Walker etc. Running at 200 minutes, it's great value even if it was bought at full price! I wasn't born when "Corrie" started, but was brought up on it by my mum who still loves it! It's still the best British soap in my opinion. It has the knack of being both moving, and also funny in equal measure. The chemistry between the Ogden's for example is priceless, as can now be said about Rita and Norris, 30-odd years later! Surely the mark of a classic, on-going drama? I bought this dvd to remind me of the stories, and actors/actresses of a bygone era, when the street was in a more "gentle" time. (If you can call "Corrie" ever gentle, with the amount of deaths, murders and accidents there have been in 48 years)!! All in all a great buy off Ebay! I've even bought another similar dvd from the 70's out of the same set since, which is just as good!
